We read the same page you would, every few minutes, and tell you what changed.
The California DMV publishes which dates and times each office has open. People cancel all day long, and offices release new blocks of appointments regularly. Those openings disappear within minutes because other people are refreshing the page too.
DMV Openings refreshes it for you. Every few minutes, around the clock, we read the public availability for the offices you chose and compare it with the last time we looked. When a date appears that fits your window, we send one email with the office, the date and time, and a link to the official booking page. You book it there. We never log in as you and we never book for you.
A request can watch any appointment the California DMV books online: drive tests, office visits for a license or id, vehicle registration visits, evaluations the dmv schedules by notice. The full list, in the DMV's own words, is on the home page.
You choose how tight to make it: specific offices or a whole region, any date or only dates before your current appointment, alerts at any hour or only during the day. Every alert is one slot, once.
Your pass lasts 30 days and ends on its own. If no opening ever matched, we refund it.
